I didn't even know Dora in high school - I remember her from elementary school - I think she lived right across the street from P.S. 177. She was tall, blonde, and (in elementary school) quiet. I am so sorry to read she is gone.
I was casually looking through the Francis Lewis website this afternoon and was deeply saddened to find out that Dora recently passed away. Dora was such a lovely and vibrant girl when I knew her in Lewis. What made her passing from pancreatic cancer even more frightening for me, is that my best friend was just diagnosed with this deadly disease earlier in the week. I will say a silent prayer for Dora (and her family)......She will always have a special place in my heart!
