Elliot passed away on December 18, 2008 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

We are very sad to report the death on Monday of Montclair journalist Elliot Pinsley, who was 57. His 28-month struggle with pancreatic cancer was blogged about by his wife Leslie Brody, a reporter for The Record. Pinsley covered stories ranging from Three Mile Island to the trial of subway vigilante Bernhard Goetz. The family plans a private funeral and asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations made be to Sloan Kettering. His obituary is here.
